Missing Newark Woman, 61, Last Seen More Than A Month Ago: Police
Police are asking for the public's help. Here's the missing woman's description.
NEWARK, NJ -- Newark police are asking for the public's help finding a missing woman who was last seen more than a month ago, authorities announced Monday evening.
According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, Maria Fatema Soares, 61, of Newark, was last seen July 1 on the 100-block of Polk Street.

"Ms. Soares is described as 5 feet 4 inches and 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She also has an infinity tattoo on her wrist. Ms. Soares is reported to be suffering from depression."
Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made at the Police Division’s website.
