Missing Newark Woman Diagnosed With Dementia, Police Seek Help

A 71-year-old Newark woman was wearing black pajamas with white polka dots and a short black wig when last seen, police said.

NEWARK, NJ -- Newark police are asking for the public’s help finding Margaret Logan-Brown, 71, of Newark, who was reported missing Thursday.

According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, Logan-Brown was last seen at 9:30 a.m. on Bedford Street near 15th Avenue.

She was described as 5 feet 4 inches and 115 pounds with a medium skin complexion and dark burn marks under her eyes. She was wearing black pajamas with white polka dots and a short black wig.

Logan-Brown walks with a slow drag and has been diagnosed with dementia, police said.

"While police are actively searching for Ms. Logan-Brown, we seek the public’s help in quickly locating her and returning her to her family," authorities said.
