Police are asking for help finding a missing woman who was last seen in Newark.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Police are asking for help finding a missing woman who was last seen in Newark.
According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, Benedette Onyema, 63, of Newark, was reported missing on Jan. 9.
Onyema was last seen at 2 p.m. on Jan. 6 on the 300-block of New Street in Newark. She is 5 feet 9 inches and 200 pounds with brown eyes. She was wearing a beige fur coat, black pants and black Puma sneakers, police said.

Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website.
