N.J. Women, Ex-Inmates Open Jewelry Kiosk At Newark Airport

NEWARK, NJ — If you believe in second chances, there’s a feel-good story waiting for you at Newark Liberty International Airport.
Women from the New Jersey Reentry Corporation (NJRC) will be managing and operating a Same Sky kiosk at the airport throughout the month of December, helping to sell jewelry they created, according to a NJRC news release.
The Hudson County women – who recently returned home after serving prison sentences – received customer service training before opening the kiosk for the busy holiday season on Thursday, the NJRC stated.

Same Sky provides training and employment opportunities for the Hudson County artisans to make jewelry for profit after they return home from incarceration, which “helps them to acclimate back into society and establish their futures,” the NJRC stated.
The kiosk will be open at Newark Airport until Dec. 31.
