New Egypt Speedway Footage To Air On Jersey Primetime Show

New Jersey Speedway gets boost from TV show

There's a new Roku TV show in town and it's called Jersey PrimeTime. The TV show is derived from a 30-minute radio show that has been transformed into a TV show, which runs on Roku once per week and highlights stories from all over New Jersey.

While mainstream TV has lost its mojo, Internet-based TV has exploded. New deals have been recently made that are bringing even more streaming TV programs into American homes.
In addition to Roku, there is Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV+, Disney+, and coming soon are HBO Max and Peacock. Huge payments have been made recently for the rights to stream reruns of classic TV comedies such as Seinfeld, The Big Bang Theory and Friends.

Roku TV is now the #1 smart TV operating system in the U.S. To access Roku programs, a household simply needs an Internet connection and one of Roku's proprietary devices that plug into a TV. The devices run between $40 and $100 to purchase, and there are no startup fees.

Roku does run a free TV service that includes advertising during shows. While that is a good deal – basically structured the same way TV was in the good old days when advertisers paid the producers and viewers paid zero – the free service does not include some of Roku's premium content.

Roku rolled out a Premium Subscription service this year that is comparable in pricing to Amazon Prime. However, Roku charges no initial fee as Amazon does. This summer, Roku also added a website where people can watch Roku's free content without any Roku equipment.
