New Farmers Market In Newark Brings Fresh Veggies To Residents
La Casa de Don Pedro is hosting a monthly farmers market in an attempt to bring fresh produce to the Lower Broadway neighborhood.
NEWARK, NJ — La Casa de Don Pedro is hosting a monthly farmers market in an attempt to bring fresh produce to the Lower Broadway neighborhood in Newark.
The next farmers market will take place on Saturday, Aug. 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at El Patio de La Casa, 43 Broadway in Newark.
The market is open to the public, and will include fresh produce, local vendors, health and social service resources, live music, activities for kids and free giveaways, organizers said.

The market is being held in cooperation with Urban Agricultural Cooperative, Al-Munir Consulting, LLC., and United Community Corporation's YouthBuild program.
