New Restaurant In Newark Combines 2 Healthy Eating Brands

NEWARK, NJ — Saladworks and Frutta Bowls recently opened a new “dual-concept” restaurant in downtown Newark.

A grand opening event was held last week for the new collaboration at 7 William Street, located near the Courtyard downtown hotel. The eatery has dine-in, to-go and catering options.

Saladworks features a create-your-own menu that includes salads, wraps, grain bowls, sandwiches, and melts. Guests can customize their meals with more than 60 ingredients. Founded in New Jersey in 1986, the brand has more than 160 locations across the United States and Canada.

Frutta Bowls offers “superfood-forward” options, including build-your-own acai and pitaya bowls, signature smoothies, protein bites and fruit juice blends. Frutta Bowls, launched in New Jersey in 2016, operates more than 40 locations in 16 states.

The location is locally owned by Arlen Encarnacion

“We’re thrilled to bring Saladworks and Frutta Bowls together in Newark and to become part of this vibrant downtown community,” Encarnacion said.
