Newark Abounds With Women To Celebrate: Here Are Just A Few
VIDEO: There are a record number of women appointed to directorship and senior staff positions at City Hall, Newark's first lady said.
NEWARK, NJ — There are no shortage of local leaders in the Brick City to celebrate for Women’s History Month.
Recently, Linda Baraka appeared in a video tribute posted to the city social media pages. In the video, Baraka extolled the women of Newark who are “breaking barriers, setting great examples for our youth, and helping to shape a positive narrative about the city and the future of women everywhere.”
For examples of positive change, look no further than City Hall, where a record number of women have been appointed to directorship and senior staff positions, she said.
