Update: Newark Authorities Locate 14-Year-Old Girl Unharmed
Maricely Velazquez Mercado had been reported missing Monday night.
NEWARK, NJ —The Newark Department of Public Safety said Tuesday night that it had located 14-year-old Maricely Velazquez Mercado, a Newark resident, who had been reported missing on Monday. Mercado was unharmed, authorities said.

Earlier Tuesday, the department of public safety had asked for the public's help in locating Mercado.
