An Elizabeth Avenue building previously gutted during a fire collapsed, temporarily shutting down traffic in the area, a report says.

NEWARK, NJ — An Elizabeth Avenue building previously gutted during a fire collapsed Monday evening, temporarily shutting down traffic in the area, a report says.

The affected building on the 200 block of Elizabeth Avenue was unoccupied at the time it collapsed and there were no injuries, RLS Media reported.

Authorities temporarily closed Elizabeth Avenue from West Runyon to East Bigelow after the collapse.
