NEWARK, NJ — A young child is safe after taking a frightening ride with a carjacker on Monday, reports say.
A carjacker allegedly stole a vehicle on Monday afternoon – possibly not realizing that there was a two-year-old child inside – only to pull over a short distance away, ABC7 New York reported.
Police recovered the car abandoned at the intersection of Adams and Ferry streets, and are searching the area for a suspect or suspects, ABC7 stated.

The child was found still inside the vehicle, RLS Media reported.
