Newark Closes On $11.4M Loan To Add 2 Water Treatment Filters
Here's what the project will do, according to the New Jersey Infrastructure Bank.
NEWARK, NJ — The City of Newark recently closed on a $11.4 million loan to construct two additional filters that were part of the original 1986 design for the Pequannock Water Treatment Plant.
According to the New Jersey Infrastructure Bank, the new filters will be identical to the existing ones and will improve the plant's performance, reliability and resiliency. The project will not increase the plant's discharge flow or water allocation.
