Newark Cop Offers Hugs To Community Members At 7-Eleven
For a Newark police officer, the "Hug a Cop" event was an opportunity to share some information… and a friendly hello.
NEWARK, NJ — It was an opportunity to share some information… and a hug.
Earlier this week, 2nd Precinct Community Service Officer T. Rich from the Newark Police Department took part in a pop-up “Hug a Cop” event at the 7-Eleven on Broadway.
During the event, Rich greeted members of the local community with a smile and information, including about the upcoming National Police Week Celebration, slated to take place from May 14 to 16 at several locations in Newark.
