Newark Cops Hand Out Anti-Theft Devices To Reduce Car Thefts
Newark residents can visit a local police precinct to request one of the devices.

NEWARK, NJ — Newark police are handing out anti-theft devices to local vehicle owners in an attempt to cut down on car thefts in the city.
According to a recent social media post from the Newark Department of Public Safety:
“4th Precinct Community Service Officers Frye and Eley provided anti-theft locks to Kia or Hyundai owners due to social media challenges targeting these vehicles for theft. Newark residents may visit a Newark police precinct to request a wheel lock. Proof of ownership is required.”
