What does this person teach?

Second grade bilingual

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

She goes above and beyond. She teaches in an inner city and realizes the struggles her students as well as their parents go through on a daily basis. She makes herself available to them early mornings and provides the families with her cell so that can contact her up to 9 p.m. on weekdays and weekend. She spends hours on her "free" weekend to prepare for the next week. Grades papers, make lesson plans, answer any emails. She purchases extra supplies out of pocket so that "her" kids have every opportunity to succeed. Perhaps I'm not that objective but I just appreciate the effort she makes and how much she adores her very "challenging" students.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

She is always on " teacher" mode. With her students and any child she encounters.
