Missing Newark Girl, 13, Found Unharmed (UPDATE)

Newark police asked for the public's help finding a local teen. She has since been found, authorities said.

NEWARK, NJ — UPDATE: Kasche Fortune has been found and is unharmed, Newark police said Thursday afternoon. Our original article follows below.

Newark police are asking for the public’s help finding a local teen who has been missing for three days, authorities announced Thursday.

Kasche F. Fortune, 13, of Newark, was reported missing on Oct. 24, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.

Fortune was last seen leaving her residence on the 300-block of Schley Street. It is believed that she may be near the 100-block of 1st Street, authorities said.

Fortune was wearing a black hair bonnet, a grey jacket and black Adidas pants. She is 5 feet 4 inches and 100 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair and a light-brown skin complexion.

Authorities said anyone with information can call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website.
