Newark Homeless Industrial Complex

The City of Newark homeless crisis continue to rise.

City officials,

Keep it real. Poverty is big business. Stop brainwashing the people into believing that you are solving the problem. When you haven’t even scratched the surface yet on the number of low income housing units recommended by Rutgers Clime report on housing disparity.

As usual, All the shelters and container homes are filled to capacity. Thousands are awaiting evictions and foreclosures in Essex County landlord-Tenant court. We are in dire need of help!!! We need a moratorium immediately on evictions, and help from higher authority to come with an immediate plan.

We are in a state of Emergency!!!

I know that building low to moderate income housing and jobs at a livable wage ends Homelessness, not more funding for drop in centers, shelters, containers or hotels. Newark City officials need to:
