Newark Juvenile ‘Stable’ After Shooting; Car Flees Scene: Police
Newark authorities are searching for the occupants of a Hyundai Santa Fe after a juvenile was shot on Elizabeth Avenue.

NEWARK, NJ — Newark authorities are searching for the occupants of a Hyundai Santa Fe after a juvenile was shot on Elizabeth Avenue on Wednesday. The male victim was hospitalized and is in stable condition, police said.
The shooting took place at 3:23 p.m. on the 100-block of Elizabeth Avenue. The victim was shot by a rear passenger from a fleeing vehicle, later identified as a light-green Hyundai Santa Fe made between the years of 2007-2012.
The vehicle was last seen in the area of Elizabeth Avenue and West Bigelow Street, the Newark Department of Public Safety stated. (See below photos)

“While police are actively searching for the suspect vehicle and its occupants, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing it and its occupants from our streets,” police stated.
An investigation is active and ongoing.
