Newark LGBT Community Gathers For Pride Flag-Raising Ceremony: PHOTOS

Newark, NJ – The rainbow flag flew proudly in Newark last week.
On Thursday, the Newark Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, and Questioning Advisory and Concerns Commission and city officials held an LGBTQ Pride Flag-Raising Ceremony at the City Hall First Floor Rotunda as part of Newark Gay Pride Week.
“This year's events celebrate the last 10 years of accomplishments in Newark's LGBTQ community as well as in the global LGBTQ Community,” city officials stated in a news release.

The event also honored the 49 victims of the recent mass shooting in Orlando, Florida, which targeted that city's LGBTQ community.
