Newark Man, 85, Missing; Last Seen Driving Toyota Corolla

Authorities are asking for the public's help finding German Vila, 85, of Newark.

NEWARK, NJ — Authorities are asking for the public’s help finding German Vila, 85, of Newark who was reported missing Tuesday.

According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, Vila was last seen around 7 a.m. on the 100-block of Union Street. He is described as semi-bald with gray hair, 5 feet 2 inches and 180 pounds. He was driving a 1993 blue Toyota Corolla and wearing a white shirt, blue or beige shorts, white knee socks and white sneakers. (See above photo)

“While police are actively searching for Mr. Vila, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating him and returning him to his family,” the NDPS stated Tuesday.
