Newark Man Diagnosed With Dementia Missing: Police

Newark police are seeking the public's help finding a missing 56-year old resident who is diagnosed with dementia.

NEWARK, NJ — Newark police are seeking the public’s help finding a missing 56-year old resident who is diagnosed with dementia, authorities announced Thursday evening.

According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, Ernest Palmer of Newark was reported missing on Tuesday, Jan. 15.

“Mr. Palmer, who suffers from dementia, was last seen on the 200-block of Chadwick Avenue,” police stated.

Palmer is 5 feet 7 inches tall and 180 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a scar on his left arm. He was last seen wearing a charcoal gray coat, blue jeans and white sneakers, police said.

“While police are actively searching for Mr. Palmer, we seek the public’s help in quickly locating him and returning him to his family,” authorities stated.
