Newark Man Has Been Missing For More Than 2 Months: Police

Newark police are asking for the public's help finding a local resident who has been missing since November.

NEWARK, NJ — Newark police are asking for the public’s help finding a local resident who has been missing since November.

On Tuesday, the Newark Department of Public Safety announced that the search continues for Quasim Rooks, 23, of Newark, who was reported missing on Nov. 19, 2023.

Authorities said Rooks was last seen on the 200-block of Clifton Avenue. He was wearing a Nike jacket, blue jeans and black ACG Nike boots. He is 5 feet 9 inches and weighs 140 pounds, and has brown eyes, black hair and a brown skin complexion.

Police said anyone with information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website.
