Newark Man Robbed Same Gas Station Twice In A Month: Police
A man has been accused of robbing a gas station in Newark twice, assaulting two employees in the process, authorities said.

NEWARK, NJ — A man has been accused of robbing the same gas station in Newark twice in the same month, assaulting two employees in the process, authorities said.
According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, Jonathan N. Cummings-Forbes, 20, of Newark, robbed the Millennium Gas Station on the 100-block of Bloomfield Avenue twice – once on June 15 and again on July 13.
Police said the first robbery took place around 1:30 a.m. on June 15, when Cummings-Forbes entered a break room at the business, punched the gas station attendant several times on his body, and took $200 from his pockets.

On July 13, Cummings-Forbes allegedly returned to the gas station at 1:53 a.m., this time brandishing a gun. He used the weapon to hit an employee in the head in the break room and took $1,000 from his pocket.
Detectives investigating the robberies obtained a search warrant and arrested Cummings-Forbes at his residence on the 100-block of 4th Avenue on Friday, authorities said.

Cummings-Forbes was charged with robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, and criminal mischief, authorities said.
A 19-year-old resident who also lived at the residence was also arrested and charged with possession of heroin, police said.
