Newark Museum To Hold Free Lunar New Year Celebration For 2024
Witness a Dragon Parade, see traditional lion dances and participate in hands-on calligraphy workshops, organizers say.

NEWARK, NJ — The Newark Museum of Art will hold a free Lunar New Year event on Saturday, Feb. 10.
Here’s what to expect, according to an event post from the museum:
“Celebrate Lunar New Year at NMOA! Gather the family and join us for an unforgettable Community Day this Saturday, February 10, as we welcome the Lunar New Year with open arms and vibrant celebrations. From noon to 5 p.m., enjoy a day packed with cultural festivities, performances and activities for all ages … Witness the majestic Dragon Parade, marvel at traditional lion dances, and participate in hands-on calligraphy workshops. Plus, don’t miss out on our array of engaging activities designed to usher in good fortune and joy for the year ahead. Let’s ring in the Lunar New Year together with a day full of fun, culture, and community spirit.”
