Newark Officials Convert Former Police Vehicle To Mobile Job Center
Newark officials have repurposed a former police vehicle to dispense education, not incarceration.

NEWARK, NJ — Newark officials have repurposed a former police vehicle to dispense education, not incarceration.
With the launch of the Newark Workforce on Wheels (NewarkWOW) mobile unit on Wednesday, city residents that struggle with finding transportation to job training and application materials will have a resource that comes to them, city officials say.
The vehicle – which used to be mobile unit from the Newark Police Division - will serve as a satellite office for the NewarkWORKS program. Keep updated with local job opportunities at the Patch Newark Facebook page.
