There are “hidden gem spots that only locals know about” located all across the nation, according to mixbook.com, which conducted an online panel survey of 3,000 adults based on age, gender and geography. The goal? To uncover the top 125 off-grid picnic spots across the country.
Branch Brook Park in Newark – which is well-known for its cherry blossom trees – made the list at number 57. Pollsters noted that in addition to the cherry blossoms, the county-run park also offers many quiet picnic spots.
