Newark Pedestrian 'Critical' After Car Strike; Police Try To ID
A vehicle hit a male victim in Newark. He's in the hospital in critical condition. Can you help police identify him?

NEWARK, NJ — Newark authorities are seeking the public’s help identifying a male victim who was struck by a vehicle on Monday, Oct. 8. He was hospitalized in “critical condition” as of Wednesday, police said.
The victim was struck by a vehicle in the area of McCarter Highway and Clay Street shortly before 10:30 p.m., according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.
Emergency responders transported the injured pedestrian to University Hospital. The driver remained at the scene, police said.

Authorities said the victim is Hispanic, 5 feet 8 inches and 175 pounds. He has short, wavy, dark-brown hair and was wearing a red shirt, black jeans and a multi-colored jacket.
“While detectives investigating this incident are actively seeking to identify the victim, we are seeking the public’s help,” the Department of Public Safety stated.
