Newark Police Arrest 14 People In Latest Warrant Roundup
Arrestees included four shooting suspects and a robbery suspect, Newark police said.

NEWARK, NJ — Newark police arrested 14 wanted fugitives as part of their latest warrant sweep, authorities recently announced.
The January warrant arrests are part of the Newark Police Division’s ongoing Crime Reduction Initiative. Arrestees included four shooting suspects and a robbery suspect, as well as eight people wanted by the Newark Police Division’s Special Victim’s Unit and one person wanted by a partner law enforcement agency.
According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, the list of arrestees included:

- Tyrice Melvin, 46, was wanted for aggravated assault, simple assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was arrested at Weequahic Avenue in Newark.
- Shahid Sanders, 27, was wanted for aggravated assault, terroristic threats, unlawful possession of a weapon, and criminal mischief. He was arrested at South 16th Street in Newark.
- Jamaal Baptiste, 22, was wanted for aggravated assault and simple assault. He was arrested at Newark Police Offices at 31 Green Street.
- Greisy Almendarez-Garcia, 30, was wanted for aggravated assault and simple assault. She was arrested at South 9th Street in Newark.
- Israel A. Bonet, 33, was wanted for aggravated assault and simple assault. He was arrested at South 9th Street in Newark.
- Beyquan Carter, 27, was wanted for aggravated assault, simple assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and criminal mischief. He was arrested at Hobson Street in Newark.
- Cristian S. Duque Leonor, 39, was wanted for violation of a restraining order. He was arrested at Newark Police Offices at 31 Green Street.
- Camarrie P. Sherwood, 22, was wanted for unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and criminal mischief. She was arrested in Irvington.
- Christopher Leake, 23, was wanted for robbery, conspiracy, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and receiving stolen property. He was arrested at 12th Avenue in Newark.
- Nasir Gordon, 19, was wanted for unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was arrested at Central Avenue in Newark.
- Terrel D. Dillahunt, 28, was wanted for unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was arrested at Newark Police Offices at 31 Green Street.
- Edwill Feliciano, 34, was wanted for unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was arrested at Mt. Prospect Avenue in Newark.
- Terrence R. Mells, 40, was wanted for sexual contact and engaging in sexual conduct. He was arrested in East Orange.
- Makiya Caesar, 27, was wanted for failure to appear. He was arrested in Keyport, NJ.
