Newark Police Chase Ends With Crash Near Union Lowe’s Store
Newark police arrested a juvenile - but two escaped - after they allegedly crashed a car near a Lowe's home improvement store in Union, NJ.

NEWARK, NJ — Newark police arrested a juvenile suspect – but two escaped - after they allegedly crashed a car near a Lowe's home improvement store in Union on Thursday morning.
According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, officers on patrol around 2:51 a.m. at North 9th Street and Park Avenue became involved in a chase with a vehicle containing three juveniles. Police said that the car matched the description of a vehicle used in several recent robberies.
After a chase, the driver crashed the vehicle on Morris Avenue near the Lowe's Home Improvement store in Union, at which point the three juveniles got out of the car and fled the scene, police said.

Officers apprehended one of the juveniles with assistance from the NJ State Police and the Union Police Department. The other two suspects remain at large, Newark police stated Thursday morning.
There are no reported injuries as a result of the chase. No additional information was immediately available.
