Newark Police Dispatchers Suspended: Allegedly Slept On Job, Neglected Calls

Newark city officials have suspended three of the city's police dispatchers, a report says.

Newark, NJ – Newark city officials have suspended three of the city’s police dispatchers after compliance officers allegedly caught one worker sleeping on the job and others not answering phone calls, according to a report.

Acting Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose stated that the dispatchers – who are civilians – have been suspended without pay, RLS Media reported.

An investigation is ongoing, authorities stated.
