Newark Police Seek 'Armed And Dangerous' Shooting Suspect

Newark police are seeking a man with tear drop tattoos under his eye who allegedly committed a shooting on Springfield Avenue.

The Newark Police Department is seeking an “armed and dangerous” suspect in connection with a Springfield Avenue shooting on Nov. 7.

According to an alert sent on Wednesday, Michael Jones, 36, is wanted for a shooting hit at 402 Springfield Ave.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest, and Jones should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.

Police described him as 5 feet 11 inches, 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, with “tear drop” tattoos under his eye. [See above photo]

Jones’ bail was set as $200,000, authorities stated.

Police are offering up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest, according to a social media post.
