Update: Missing, 68-Year-Old Newark Man Found Unharmed
Newark police said the man has been reported missing in the past.
NEWARK, NJ — UPDATE: Newark police reported Wednesday that Benjamin Norman has been found and is unharmed. Our original article follows below.
Newark police are asking for the public’s help finding a local resident who was reported missing on Monday.
According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, Benjamin Norman, 68, was last seen around 8:30 a.m. at 293 16th Avenue. Norman, who has been reported missing in the past, was last found at Morristown Medical Center.

Police said Norman is 5 feet 5 inches and 80 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair and a dark skin complexion. He was last seen wearing a grey hat, brown jacket, grey shirt, grey pants and white sneakers.
Police said anyone with information about how to locate Norman can call the division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website at www.newarkpublicsafety.org or through its smartphone app.
