Newark Police Seek Shooting Suspects, Release Surveillance Photos

Newark police released surveillance photos of a vehicle and suspects allegedly involved in a shooting earlier this month.

NEWARK, NJ — Newark police have released surveillance photos of a vehicle and suspects allegedly involved in a shooting that wounded a victim earlier this month.

According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, the shooting took place on Nov. 4. Police released the following statement about the incident:

“The incident occurred at approximately 3:27 a.m. as officers were responding to shots fired on the 900-block of Broad Street. Upon arrival, a white sedan sped away with two individuals: the driver and the injured victim, who was treated at University Hospital. At the crime scene, officers located five shell casings on the city’s major thoroughfare. One of the suspects in the picture below was seen entering a possible older model four-door Hyundai Sonata that fled westbound on Clinton Avenue towards Farley Avenue.”
