Newark Preps For Bad Weather Tuesday; Schools Closed
Newark preps for possible snow and ice on Feb. 12. Public schools are closed.

NEWARK, NJ — Gov. Phil Murphy has declared a state of emergency as weather forecasters call for possible snow, ice and freezing cold on Tuesday, Feb. 12, and Newark officials are taking note.
Due to inclement weather, the Newark Public School District will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 12. The Central Office is also closed with the exception of essential staff, officials stated.
