Newark Public Discussion: ‘Why Black And Brown Unity Matters’
The city-sponsored event will explore the "importance of community organization and collaboration between Black and Brown people."
NEWARK, NJ — A public discussion in Newark will explore the “importance of community organization and collaboration between Black and Brown people.”
The intergenerational dialogue – “Why Black and Brown Unity Matters” – will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8 at the municipal council chamber on the second floor of City Hall, 920 Broad Street.
Mayor Ras Baraka will moderate the event, which will include special guest Felipe Luciano, an award-winning journalist and co-founder of the Young Lords and the Last Poets.
