Other Newark residents across the city reported similar snow removal issues.

“I live on Ferry Street, which is a main street, and I didn’t see any plows come through until midday,” one Newark resident told ABC 7 New York. “It wasn’t done yesterday, just happened midday… I think it’s pretty bad.”

In a recent City of Newark Facebook post, residents sounded off on Mayor Ras Baraka’s comment:

“We were hit hard by this storm,” Baraka wrote. “Almost 3 feet of snow. I want to thank Newarkers for all of their help and their patience. We will keep working until this is done!”
