Newark Residents Can Get Coronavirus Test At Branch Brook Park
The City of Newark will offer COVID-19 testing to local residents at the Branch Brook Park skating rink starting May 6.
NEWARK, NJ — The City of Newark will offer testing for the new coronavirus to local residents at the Branch Brook Park skating rink starting Wednesday, May 6.
According to city officials, COVID-19 testing will be available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursday, Fridays, and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The site will have drive-up and walk-up options.
All insurances will be accepted, including Medicaid and Medicare, officials said.

Testing will be by appointment only. Residents must meet the CDC requirements, which include symptoms of fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, new loss of taste or smell, vomiting or diarrhea, or sore throat, officials said.
Residents that are scheduled for testing must wear a face covering, gloves, and must bring a valid ID and insurance card with them to the test site. Proof of Newark residency is required (such as a driver license, utility or phone bill).
