Newark School Converts Old Gym Into 2 New Science Labs
Saint Vincent Academy in Newark unveiled two new "state-of-the-art" science labs at a dedication ceremony.

Saint Vincent Academy in Newark unveiled two new “state-of-the-art” science labs at a dedication ceremony earlier this month. Students were on hand to demonstrate the new equipment.
The school’s old gymnasium was converted into the new labs, which were each named after a member of the school community, administrators said:

- “Arthur F. Ryan, retired CEO of Prudential Financials, was on hand to accept a plaque honoring his ongoing commitment, friendship and generosity to SVA. The engineering lab was christened Arthur F. Ryan Family Lab.”
- “Sister Noreen Neary, a science teacher at SVA for +30-years accepted a plaque honoring her vocation, both as a Sister of Charity of Saint Elizabeth and a gifted and dedicated science teacher. The science lab was christened Neary Lab.”
