Newark School Gets Bomb Threats, No Devices Found: Police

Authorities temporarily canceled classes at a Newark school after it received multiple bomb threats, officials said.

NEWARK, NJ — Authorities temporarily canceled classes at a Newark charter school on Thursday morning after it received multiple bomb threats, officials said.

Classes resumed at North Star Charter School on South 9th Street after a police search failed to locate any explosive device, a Newark Department of Public Safety spokesperson said at 11:30 a.m.

“The investigation is continuing to determine the responsible parties for possible creation of false public alarm,” the NDPS spokesperson said.
