Newark Students Team Up With Audible Employees For Earth Day Service
More than 125 students and 40 Audible employees planted flowers and learned about recycling.

Newark, NJ - In recognition of Earth Day, Newark Public Schools students and employees with the Newark-based Audible participated in a community service day at McKinley Elementary School on April 22.
According to a school news release, more than 125 students and 40 Audible employees planted flowers and learned about recycling and the “importance of being environmentally friendly.”
“I would like to thank all of the Audible employees who came out to volunteer with the students at McKinley Elementary School on Earth Day,” Superintendent Christopher D. Cerf said. “It is great for our students to learn about being environmental stewards, as well as to learn what it means to give back to your community, at a very young age. Audible is a great partner and friend to the City of Newark. We are honored that Audible considers the Brick City home and we are grateful for their continued support.”
