Newark Teen Found With Fatal Gunshot Wound In Irvington: Police
A 15-year-old Newark resident was found with a fatal gunshot wound in Irvington last weekend, authorities said.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — A 15-year-old Newark resident was found with a fatal gunshot wound in Irvington last weekend, authorities announced Wednesday.
The shooting took place on Sunday evening, according to a statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Irvington Police Department.

“On Nov. 27 at 6:59 p.m., police were notified of a shooting at the intersection of Melrose Avenue and Wills Place in Irvington. Police found the boy apparently suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:24 p.m.”
No arrests have been made as of Wednesday. A police investigation continues, authorities said.
