Missing Essex County Teen Found After Police Seek Public’s Help
Updated: Police had asked for the public's help finding the teen so that he could be reunited with his family. He's been found unharmed.

Newark police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing teen, authorities said.
On Tuesday night, the Newark Department of Public Safety issued a missing person alert for Al-Samir Williams, 14, of Newark.

Williams was reported missing on Tuesday. Detectives were still searching for his whereabouts as of Wednesday morning, authorities told Patch.
Al-Samir was last seen at 5:30 p.m. in the area of Nairin Place near Vernon Avenue. He is 5 feet 7 inches and 160 pounds, and has a medium-brown skin complexion, black hair and brown eyes. He may be wearing black Adidas sweatpants and a black bubble jacket, authorities said.

“While police are actively searching for Al-Samir, we request the public’s help in quickly locating him so that he can be reunited with his family,” authorities said.
