Newark Teen Still Missing, Last Seen 2 Months Ago: Police

Authorities continue their search for a Newark teen who was reported missing more than two months ago.

NEWARK, NJ — Authorities continue their search for a Newark teen who was reported missing more than two months ago, police said Monday.

Aaliyah Bryant, 17, of Newark, was reported missing on Aug. 30. The Newark Police Department released the following statement, asking for the public’s help finding her:

“Aaliyah, a frequent runaway, was last seen on Aug. 29 on the 100-block of Chancellor Avenue. She was wearing a long white t-shirt and black leggings, and carrying a cross-body bag. Aaliyah is 5 feet 3 inches and 300 pounds, with a light-brown complexion and blonde hair. She also has a silver nose piercing and is reportedly diagnosed with Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).”

Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website.
