Newark Truck Driver Logs 2 Million Accident-Free Miles

Think that you're safe behind the wheel? You've got nothing on this Newark truck driver and Little Falls volunteer firefighter.

NEWARK, NJ — Think that you’re a safe driver? You’ve got nothing on this New Jersey truck driver, who recently surpassed two million miles on the road without an accident, according to his company.

John Conti of Little Falls, a professional truck driver who works out of XPO Logistics’ Newark service center, was recently named New Jersey’s Driver of the Year by the New Jersey Motor Truck Association.

His company offered the following statement about his commendable achievement:

“[John] is a veteran driver who has worked for the company for over 20 years. He just completed a major professional milestone – two million miles without an accident – a safe driving performance which takes about 20 years to achieve. John also contributes time to his community as a volunteer firefighter for the Little Falls fire department.”
