Newark Weather: Temperatures Predicted to Peak at 90 Degrees on Tuesday

There may be an increased fire risk, says National Weather Service.

The temperature is predicted to climb into the upper-80s in Newark on Tuesday, peaking around 3 p.m, according to National Weather Service forecasts.

The high temperature - combined with winds up to 25 mph and relative humidity around 30 percent – may increase the risk of fires in Essex County, the NWS stated.

Temperatures are predicted to return into the low 70s on Wednesday.

This Afternoon: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 90. West wind 16 to 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 57. Northwest wind 11 to 18 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 67. Breezy, with a west wind 17 to 20 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 45. Breezy, with a north wind 10 to 20 mph.
