Missing Newark Woman With Alzheimer’s Found Unharmed (Police Update)

A 90-year-old Newark woman was reported missing on Thursday. She has been found and is unharmed, authorities said.

Police are asking for the public’s help finding a 90-year-old Newark woman who was reported missing on Thursday.

Alida Petit-Frere, 90, of Newark, was last seen at St. Paul Avenue near Cliff Street at 8 a.m., according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.

Petit-Frere – who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease – is 4 feet 10 inches and 100 pounds, with gray and white hair. She was wearing a multi-colored gown with a gray and dark brown floral pattern. She was also wearing a dark-gray hair bonnet, authorities said.
