Newark Woman On Electric Bike Killed In East Orange Crash: ECPO
An electric bike rider from Newark was killed in a vehicle collision in East Orange, authorities said.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — An electric bike rider from Newark was killed in a vehicle collision in East Orange, authorities announced Monday.
The fatal crash took place at the intersection of Main Street and Grove Street around 4:15 a.m. on Friday, according to a statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the East Orange Police Department.
The cyclist, Melody Regus, 42, of Newark, was transported to University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 4:50 a.m.

The crime scene investigations bureau at the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the fatal crash. No arrests have been made as of Monday, authorities said.
