FOUND: Newark Woman Missing For 3 Weeks, Police Seek Public’s Help

Police were searching for an Essex County woman who had been missing for more than three weeks.

UPDATE: Jolee Dragona Torres has been found and is unharmed, authorities say. Our original article follows below.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Police are searching for an Essex County woman who has been missing for more than three weeks, authorities announced Tuesday.

Jolee Dragona Torres, 47, of Newark, was reported missing on March 9, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.

Torres was last seen on the 300-block of Summer Avenue in Newark around 8 p.m. on March 3. She is known to frequent the area of Broadway and 3rd Avenue, police said.

Torres is white, 5 feet 4 inches and 135 pounds, and has a long scar on her right forearm. She was wearing a green jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, police said.

Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website.
