ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing woman in North Jersey, authorities said Monday.

Christina Omogor Onunu, 36, of Newark, was reported missing on April 1, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.

Onunu, who has been diagnosed with schizophrenia, was last seen around 2 p.m. on April 1 in the area of Hobson Street near Nye Avenue in Newark, police said.

Onunu is Black, 5 feet 7 inches and 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a black sweater and black sweatpants, police said.

Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website.
