NJ Assemblyman To Hold Property Tax Relief Workshops In Essex County

Chigozie Onyema will host public workshops for residents in South Orange, Newark and Maplewood.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — New Jersey Assemblyman Chigozie Onyema will be hosting a series of public workshops on property tax relief in South Orange, Newark and Maplewood in May.

According to a news release, the events will include a series of presentations hosted alongside the Department of Treasury to assist senior homeowners and senior renters with learning about the PAS-1 application, StayNJ Benefits, and ANCHOR Benefits. Guests can learn how and when benefits will be paid, the PAS-1 Combined Application, and the eligibility requirements for all property tax relief programs.

  • South Orange – Wednesday, May 13 at 12:30 p.m., Baird Community Center, 5 Mead Street
  • Newark – Thursday, May 21 at 7 p.m., Unified Vailsburg Services Organization, 40 Richelieu Terrace
  • Maplewood – Friday, May 29 at 11 a.m., Maplewood Senior Center, 106 Burnett Avenue
